The Justice Project

Project leaders Nicole Wesley and Darla Johnson.

The Justice Project was in its fourth year when it came to the University of Bedfordshire. It was a project set up by Wesley and Johnson which looked at individual responses and experiences of justice. After a week longcreation processwith a group of nine dancers exploring justice and our experiences with the concept, a 20minute piece was formed which was then performed on the 24th February 2013 at the University of Bedfordshire.

Being involved in this projecthas given me the experience of working within a group to produce a contemporary dance work and has shown me different ways of working with a specific idea. Creating a piece of work that is personal to the group makes the working process more intense and meaningful. Through sharing exercises we were able to understand one another better and therefore were able to perform other peoples movement with the knowledge of the intentions behind it.
